| | Born in Massarosa, Italy on July 4, 1898. Lina emigrated with her parents from Italy to San Francisco in April 1906. The earthquake and fire having destroyed most of the city, the family settled in Oakland where she remained. After her marriage to Edward Garrigues in 1928, she became interested in painting and studied with her neighbor Louise Cunningham. Mrs. Garrigues died on June 2, 1974.
