| | Born in Poland on March 9, 1907. Karsh studied architectural design at M.I.T. In 1936 he was employed in San Francisco on the Federal Art Project. For 30 years he worked as an architect in the San Francisco Bay area. He died in Larkspur, CA on Sept. 13, 1960. | Source:
