| | Loretta Metzger was born in Fairbanks, AK on Nov. 24, 1912. Metzger settled in San Diego, CA in 1922. She studied art at San Diego State College and the Boston Museum School of Fine Art. For over 30 years she taught art at the Spanish Village in Balboa Park. In 1938 she wed Harold McLeod and continued living in San Diego until 1994.
