| | Born in Uplands, CA on Aug. 27,1898. Artistically inclined at an early age, Nadeau began doiing pen-and-ink drawings as a child. After graduating from Manuel Arts High School in Los Angeles, she apprenticed for eight years with local artist Ricardo Espino. During the early 1930s she was an illustrator for the local Southwest Museum. She died in the family adobe in Santa Maria, CA on July 18, 1976.
