This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Palisades, CO on Sept 8, 1911. Provonsha moved to Los Angeles in 1930. He studied at the Art Center School and then had a commercial art studio there until the outbreak of WWII. During the war he worked in the art department of Douglas Aircraft. Until 1948 he was a freelance artist in Glendale and then moved to Paradise, CA. In 1959 he settled in Angwin, California. Provonsha died in early 2006.
