| | Born in Iowa on May 5, 1893. Thoren settled in San Francisco in 1926. By the 1930s she had married artist Hans Jorgensen and established a studio in their home on Sacramento Street. During her later years she lived across the Golden Gate in Belvedere at 5005 Paradise Drive. Mrs. Jorgensen died there of heart failure on May 14, 1976. Her painting forte was seascapes and coastal scenes.
