| Anna Rutgers Vanderloeff was born in the Netherlands on March 15, 1910. Van der Loeff was a resident of San Francisco in 1905 and Spokane, WA in 1924-26. As well as an artist, she was also a writer of children’s novels. She died on August 19, 1990.
