Konstantinos Parthenis (10 May 1878 - 25 July 1967) was a distinguished Greek painter. Parthenis was born on May 10, 1878, in Alexandria, Egypt, to a Greek father and an Italian mother. From 1895 to 1903, he studied painting in Vienna, under Karl Dieffenbach.
In 1903, Parthenis settled in Greece and worked mainly as a painter of religious themes. From 1909 until 1914, he studied post-impressionist art in Paris, returning to Greece in 1915. From 1930 until 1946, Parthenis taught in t (showing 500 of 890 characters). |
