A painter of landscapes and animal subjects, Andre Prevot-Valeri was born in Paris on March 20, 1890, and studied under his father, Auguste Prevot-Valeri, and Baschet. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1911, and won a number of medal and prizes, including a bronze medal and the Zuber prize in 1914, the Socite des Payagistes in 1921, a silver medal in 1923, a gold medal in 1926, and the Rosa-Bonheur prize in 1928.
