A painter and etcher whose primary residences were New York City and Salisbury, Connecticut, Stewart MacDermott studied at the Art Students League in New York and the Beaux Arts Institute of Design in Fontainebleau, France. Memberships included the National Arts Club, Lotos Club and the Berkshire Art Association.
Among exhibition venues were Whitney Museum, National Academy of Design, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Carnegie Institute, Corcoran Gallery Biennials, Art Instit (showing 500 of 845 characters). |
