Vasili Shukhaev was ? Russian painter, graphic and theatre artist. He was born in Moscow, studied at Stroganov College in 1897–1905 and at the Imperial Academy of Arts as a non-enrolled student in 1906–1912.
He began exhibiting in 1909. During 1913–1914, on received grant, he traveled in Italy with his friend Alexander Jacovleff. In 1914, he returned to Petrograd. He taught in New Art Studio, Petrograd from 1915; at Imperial Academy of Arts from 1917; at Shtiglits Technical Drawing (showing 500 of 1465 characters). |
