| Growing up on a small farm in Iowa, Roger Johnson developed a love of landscape and the old houses he saw. At age 10, he began painting these scenes, and went on to earn an MFA from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa after studying art at Central College in Pella. He then spent several years in Europe studying the Old Masters and took classes in the US including with Richard Schmid. He moved to Colorado and paints small-historic mountain villages and adobes in New Mexico. (showing 478 of 1827 characters). |
