Henry Wilkinson studied at
the Winchester College of Art and the Royal College of Art in England
before embarking on a career as a painter and engraver. He initially
learned the skill of engraving at the gunmaker Hammonds of Winchester,
and throughout his life he practiced traditional drypointing and
engraving, pulling each edition himself and making his own ink. He
taught at the Engraving School at the City and Guilds of London and is a
member of the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers.
Wilkinson primarily portrays dogs and country life in his distinctive
works of art, working from his studio in rural Kent, England. |
