| Born in Estonia, Tilt Raid is a painter, often in acrylic, of panoramic
natural scenery, many of them water scenes. He moved to Minnesota
in 1949 with his parents. He earned an M.F.A. degree at the
University of Minnesota and then was an art professor at the University
of Wisconsin in Eau Claire for 35 years.
