The following information is from the Bristol Savages*, a Bristol, England art association founded in 1904 and still active.
Born 1913, Eric Craddy won a choral scholarship to Bristol Cathedral School. Then he
moved to the Bristol School of Arts under R. E. J. Bush. He apprenticed as a
designer with Mardon, Son and Hall.
Craddy worked on original sketches for sets
of cigarette cards, the last, just before World War II, being a series
of 50 on The Story of Navigation (showing 500 of 2289 characters). |
