| Charles Francis Adams was born in San Francisco, CA in 1860. Adams was working in San Francisco as an insurance agent in 1880. After the earthquake in 1906, he moved across the bay to Concord. He died in San Francisco on January 31, 1927. His rare works include landscapes of Mount Diablo, University of California, and the East Bay.
