The Russian painter of the fantastic, an aesthete and mannerist, Viacheslav Kalinin pictures the everyday and the supernatural in the life of Muscovite bohemians showing a similarity to Mikhail Boulgakov, particularly praised by the Moscow intelligentsia of the 1970's.
A gifted graphic artist, he considers himself as a follower of the romantic trend of the Moscow school. Kalinin introduces into his artworks the portraits of the real people, nudity, sketches of architectural monuments of M (showing 500 of 704 characters). |
