Vivian Chevillon (1923-2005)
Born in Vancouver, BC, raised in Seattle and Alaska, Vivian Chevillon lived a “colorful” life. She claimed to be one of the first USO “girls” and she met her husband, Chuck at a brand-new USO in Alaska. They announced their engagement on December 6, 1941, and married on Christmas Eve of that year. Vivian was evacuated from Alaska to San Diego in 1942, returning to Alaska in 1943. In 1948 she and Chuck spent a year on a lecture tour of t (showing 500 of 2157 characters). |
