 Frederick J. Falkner was born in Bath, Somerset, England. He was ex British Military. Came to Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada in 1863. There are about a half dozen of his landscapes at the Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario Museum and one at the Algoma Art Gallery. He married a Martha Cousins in 1871 and had nine children. He passed away in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario Canada in 1923.
