Kelly Paige Standard is (with a slight twist) a traditional oil painter with a tender view of loneliness, and a penchant for laying open the spectrum of human emotion with "fiery intensity". Employing a fierce use of color, she paints accessible figures intended to seem haunting and fueled and captured by the wily dichotomy of sadness and joy.
