Davis Birks chose his profession as an artist at the age of nine. Moving to Mexico after completing his B.F.A. at Arizona State University, Birks settled in Guadalajara in 1987. His career over the past sixteen years has been punctuated with polemic exhibitions. His art, method of working and participation in that cultural community have made a significant impact, influencing younger and older artists alike.
