This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Arthur A LaVinger was born in Budapest Hungary in 1902. However, he came to the U.S. in 1921 and lived the rest of his life in this country. He lived in Michigan, mostly in Detroit, from 1921 to 1936, then moved to West Hollywood, California where he lived until his death in 1963. He did win some awards during the time he lived in Detroit.
