|  Leonid Korchemsky was born in Kiev, Ukraine on August 17, 1928. Korchemsky studied art in Moscow. Leaving Kiev in 1978, he immigrated to Houston, Texas and the following year he settled in San Francisco where he currently live. He works mostly with metal sheeting.
