Michael Lawrence, son of tough guy actor Marc Lawrence, was born November 7, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. He lived in Italy beginning in 1951 after his father was blacklisted for testimony at the HUAC hearings. Michael graduated from UCLA with a BFA in 1966.
He is best known for whimsical watercolors and bronze sculpture, often with a literary theme based on the works of Lewis Carroll, James Joyce, and Lawrence Durrell. He was deeply influenced by his friendships; (showing 500 of 1483 characters). |
