| Born in Connecticut in 1855. “Lily” Ward was a graduate of the Yale School of Arts. Arriving in California, she lived in the Santa Clara Valley in 1879 and then settled in Los Angeles where she taught drawing and painting until her demise on April 4, 1906. Missions were often a subject in her classes. Exhibited: California State Fair, 1879.
