Biography from Kingsley Art Auction:
Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data compared to the extensive information about American artists.

Kadokura is a young artist, whose works recently receive great attention.  She paints young girls’ close-up on face, and it is hard to tell any emotions.  Their expression looks as if still in the air; nevertheless, it is condensed with all kinds of craziness, rebellion, and humor.  This arrangement suggests that while young girls pursuit outer beauty, they also long for discovering inner beauty.  Lastly, Kadokura uses charcoal and oil paint together, aptly presenting features of each element.
