| Sarah Jane Lane was born in Canada in January 1836. While a resident of Modesto in 1880-96, Mrs. Lane painted still lifes of fruit and flowers. By 1900 she was widowed and living in Oakland, and by 1910 she was living in Los Angeles with her son, Orlando. She died there on June 6, 1931. Exhibited: Oakland Industrial Exposition, 1896.
