| Born in Santa Rosa, CA on Aug. 25, 1893 Chester Gore was active
in Santa Rosa from 1912. After studying at the California College
of Arts and Crafts in the 1920s, for 35 years he was an art director in
Los Angeles for Twentieth Century Fox.
He died in Santa Rosa of cirrhosis of the liver on Feb. 20, 1966.
A pupil of Lorenzso P. Latimer, the influence of Latimer is seen in his
works.
