Qian Yankang
He was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. In 1929, he enrolled in the Western Painting Department of Suzhou Art School, where he received tutoring from Yan Wenliang, who had recently arrived from France. Qian gained a first class honors degree from the school in 1933.
In 1960, he worked collaboratively on the canvas titled "The First Bridge on the Changjiang River", which subsequently hung in the Hubei Hall of the Great Hall of the People, B (showing 500 of 1070 characters). |
