| Angus William Combs was born in Ogdensburg, NY on June 12, 1861. Angus was taught to sculpt by his father, John. He arrived in California with his family in 1870 and grew up in San Jose. By 1893 he was living in Oakland and died there on Dec. 25, 1927.
