| Edna Marie Lawson Gustafson was born in North Dakota on September 11, 1911. Marie was the wife of Edwin C. Gustafson. By 1940 she was living in Hemet, California.
During the 1950s and 1960s she painted in the desert around Palm Springs. She was a member of the Desert Art Center in the Coachella Valley.
She died in Riverside County, California on June 18, 1986.
