| | Harriet Eilene Weaver was born in Burlington, IA on June 18, 1908. Weaver grew up in California and graduated from Narbonne High School in Lomita. She earned a B.E. degree from UCLA in 1930. After studying at the Chouinard Art Institute, she taught art in the public schools of Pico and Santa Paula. In 1939 she authored a book, Cartooning. A spinster, she died in Eureka, CA on July 2, 1993. | Source:
