This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A teacher at Loyola University in Chicago and also a working artist, Margaret Dagenais focused on religious subjects and its relation to the liturgical reform movement in the Catholic Church in the mid-20th century.  She did work for many churches and chapels throughout Chicago with a goal of "making sure that ordinary people in a congregation would be stirred by seeing good art."
