The following biography, submitted August 2002, is from Allison Teague, daughter of the artist:
Lewis Teague was the youngest child of Industrial Designer Walter Dorwin Teague, and was born November 30, in 1917 in Jamaica, New York. He attended Public School 101 and graduated in 1932, and then attended Gow School for Boys, graduating in 1939.
Given the choice of what he wanted to study when he reached college, he originally chose architecture at the Pratt Institute around 1938. Af (showing 500 of 4006 characters). |
