This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Dick LaBonte of Bay Head, New Jersey, began to paint professionally in his fifties after he took early retirement from "Business Week" magazine in New York. He paints neo-primitive acrylic scenes of bygone days at the New Jersey Shore. One of them, "Cocktails at the White House," depicting a gathering of all the Presidents and First Ladies, hangs in the executive mansion.
