| A painter, designer illustrator, and sculptor, Ferdinand Lo Pinto was a member of the WPA* New York Easel Division, and one of 13 artists sent for the Alaska Federal Art Project (the project went from June to November, 1937; it was to be until December, but it was the rainiest summer on record, so the Artists were not able to do all seventy paintings as contracted to do.) He illustrated with pen and ink drawings A Guide to Alaska. He was trained at the National Academy o (showing 500 of 7481 characters). |
