The following, submitted June 2005, is from Donna Hartman.
"I have owned two of Mr. Dahl's paintings for over forty years. According to the gallery label on the back, he taught at the Los Angeles Art Institute from 1948 to at least 1955. He was still teaching there when the painting was sold in 1955, so may have been there longer. It gives his address on Mt. Washington, Highland Park, CA (a part of L.A.).
The biography also mentions that he taught at the Detroit Art Museum School (showing 500 of 886 characters). |
