| Lethea Whitaker was born in New Jersey on April 16, 1891. After her art studies at the Troy (NY) Academy, Lethea taught art at that school and at Girls Academy in Connecticut. During the 1930s she was popular as a portrait painter in Hollywood's movie crowd.
Married twice, prior to WWII her married name was Hamilton and later Minnick. A long-time resident of Hemet, CA, she died there on Jan. 22, 1985.
