Teacher and sculptor Raymond Porter was born in Hermon, New York. He lived in Chicago, 1904; thereafter in Chelmsford, Watertown, Boston, MA. He taught at the Boston Museum School of Fine Art.
He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, 1904 and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, 1913, 1916. He was a member of Boston Sculptors Society and Cambridge Art Institution.
Monuments by him are in Boston at the State House and Armory, as well as in Somerville, Mass. (showing 500 of 1380 characters). |
