| "I was born and raised in rural Minnesota, in the north western part of
the state near the Dakota border. As a child I was always
fascinated by birds and animals and had many pets including cats, dogs,
sheep and cows. My interest in art surfaced at the age of five
when I began sketching and painting. I knew from the start that I
wanted to spend the rest of my life creating art. With
encouragement from friends and family members I continued to develop my
