| A resident of McNeal, Arizona, M L Martin works from a studio that offers solitude while she studies and depicts her favorite subjects, the Arizona landscape and wildlife, especially the quail and the coyotes. She frequently walks in the desert in the mornings and from these journeys often gets ideas for her paintings.
She began painting in oil while living in ranching communities in California and the Southwest.
