This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following is from the artist who describes himself : "I have happily spent 41 years trying to satisfy a constant urge to create Art." To me "Art" is more than just an image and "Great Art" in some unique way provokes an emotional response."

These urges gave birth to "Visual Images" an Art Company Fabius started in 1982. Reminiscing through his files, he notes that he has represented many companies with a wide range of artistic services, including logos, CD covers, product prototype design, fabrication and advertisement, the creation of over 50 hand painted murals and most notably the restoration and conservation of many historical works of art, including works by John Vanderlyn. With a smile, he adds, "I love it when someone calls and asks, have you done anything like this before?"

At this point there isn't much he hasn't done artistically, from toothpaste advertising to medical illustration to patent research and product design, or simply painting a portrait. Whether it's an imaginary fire breathing dragon or a photo-realistic painting of a loved one, he advertises "Any Image Anywhere". He has even produced something he referred to as "Exhibit A", a 6-foot display used by the Exxon Corporation to represent them in a legal dispute.

Alan Fabius was born the son of the Sculptress Ethel Fabius-Ivens, in Mount Airy, Pennsylvania on May 12th, 1960. During June of 1967 the family moved to Abington Pennsylvania where he remained until graduation majoring in Fine Art. In 1982 he graduated from The Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art & Design. He has been is a resident of Haverford since 1989.

In addition to contractual artwork, he has through the years produced numerous works of fine art, most of which are large oils on canvas. His recent work lovingly depicts his wife and two young children. The style of his work ranges the full spectrum, from abstract to full photographic realism and he recalls one gallery owner that asked, "How many different artists created this work!" He greatly enjoys working with pencil & Charcoal, watercolor, wood, clay and oil paint.

One of the largest pieces in his collection is a 6 foot square wall sculpture made of wood and is composed of 72 moving pieces entitled "Tic Tac Toe". In his words, " the beauty of this creation lies within its ability to inspire creation." Although one can actually conduct a large game of Tic Tac Toe, the intrinsic qualities of this work place it firmly within the realm of Interactive Modern Art. In essence the viewer can become the artist and create unlimited visual images
