A painter of landscape and marine subjects and an etcher, Jean Kellogg
was a resident of Monterey, California. She was born in Berkeley
to prominent parents, Vernon and Charlotte Kellogg, who did major post
World War I relief work in Poland and Belgium before settling in
California.
Jean Kellogg took her art training for three years at the Yale School
of Fine Art, at the Art Students League, and in Washington DC at the
