Teddy Draper, Jr., was born October 3, 1949 on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. His maternal clan is Naashgahli Dine'e, paternal clan is Ashiihi, maternal grandfather's clan is Todicheeni, and paternal grandfather's clan is Tohahelini.
Draper is the son of a WWII Navajo Marine "Code Talker" and is a holder of many awards for his art. His primary medium is pastel, but he also uses oil, watercolors, sculpture and modern/traditional design Navajo j (showing 500 of 2272 characters). |
