| LaVere Hutchings had a degree in art, and during WWII taught art in Manilla PI as a soldier in the US ARMY. He ceased oil painting in 1965 and investigated pastels and acrylics. He then discovered watercolor, because he was looking for "transparency" which the other mediums did not have. Hutchings owned a gallery/school in Jamestown,California. He was well known and highly desired. He is hung in LDS Museum in SLC, at BYU, and elsewhere. He was featured in Art West, SW Art, North Lights, Pallett (showing 500 of 743 characters). |
