Note from Leslie N. Taliaferro, student of the artist.

He owned and operated The American School of Commercial Art in Dallas, Texas in the immediate years following the Korean War. i.e 1952 and thereafter. I was enrolled from 1953 to 1955. At the time he was a highly accomplished artist, specializing in watercolors and of course oils on occasion.

One of his specialties was rendering portraits, so to speak, of oil wells for a petroleum company for one hundred dollars each, which at that time was a goodly sum. These were done in oil. I have a photo of him in his office among many of his paintings. I believe that he was originally from Georgia, or somewhere in that corner of the United States.
