Ruth Fay Muddox Doud was born on November 8, 1895. In her early years she lived in Sacramento, California and studied with Lorenzo P. Latimer. She worked primarily in watercolors and frequently painted landscapes and seascapes.
In 1920 she married William E. Doud and settled in San Francisco. Her works have been exhibited at the California State Fair, the Oakland Art Gallery (now the Oakland Museum of Art), the San Francisco Art Association, the Society for Sanity in Art, and the Californ (showing 500 of 866 characters). |
