Linda S. Stewart (b.1950)
In the summer of 1999, The Calgary Stampede set out to find a sculptor to create a monument that would add the finishing touches to the new 30 million dollar expansion of their Trade Show & Convention facility known as the Roundup Center. Linda Stewart was selected from among 40 artists and commissioned to create a sculpture that would portray the ranching tradition of Alberta.
