Biography from Hauk Fine Arts:
Ken Kesey was an important writer who also had an artistic touch; in 1996 he, his son Zane and his grandson Caleb created a piece reflective of the 1950s and `60s, of the psychedelic art that was produced by the beat generation of the 1950s and the hippies of the 1960s.

Kesey is considered a cultural icon of his time. He is best known as the author of the novel "One Flew Over the Cuckoo''s Nest,''',which he followed with "Sometimes a Great Notion.''Kesey died on Nov. 10, 2001 following surgery for liver cancer.
