Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
Painter. Born in Chicago, IL on Dec. 31, 1878. Harvey studied at Marietta (OH) College, Harvard University, AIC, and the Boston Museum School. While a resident of Chicago, he was president of Acme Gas Company before moving to Santa Barbara about 1910. He was active as an artist there until about 1919 when he entered the publishing business. He died in Queens, NY on Jan. 8, 1948. Member: Boston Art Club; Calif. Art Club. AAA 1919; SCA.
